She also participated in the runner up team for 100-meters relay. Jones was the winner of the NCAA Indoor Hurdles event in the years 2003 as well as in 2004. Jones began training in 2005 when she graduated from her education. She was the winner of each of in the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track races that same year.
Brandt relocated to Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand at the close of her teen years.
